Pressureless switch by touch alone

SENSORswitches of CAPTRON are capacitive switches which are activated only by touching the surface – without pressure or effort. The switches have a determinate sensing distance, which may be altered, however, by varying the approached speed. This user-friendly handling of switches offers impeccable value in reliability and performance to a variety of industries, such as Industrial Automation, Traffic & Transport and Building Technology.

The response is supplied optically via 16 bright LEDs, acoustically via a signal tone or via a tactile vibration. Moreover, the SENSORswitch is disabled-friendly thanks to embossed braille and tangible relief arrows on the coloured ring around the button.

Whether on walls, doors or glass, SENSORswitches can be mounted flexibly and quickly due to their special construction, thus incurring minimal installation costs. Plus our high-performance adhesive film facilitates drilling-free installation, allowing, for example, easy and convenient attachment of the SENSORswitch directly behind a door or glass window without drilling a hole in the pane.

These SENSORswitches are therefore extremely versatile and often used as door-opening buttons, stop request buttons or for operation of machines.Thanks to their water-tight, encapsulated electronic system and robust housing material (poly-carbonate), the capacitive and fully electronic switches guarantee a long service life. And, since there is no mechanical motion, the SENSORswitch is maintenance-free.

In addition to our standard programme and to provide users with flexibility, CAPTRON also develops and manufactures products to satisfycustomised applications. This includes, for example, special symbols, colour requirements, different types of plugs or cables, acoustic and tactile feedback, along with customised designs or complete new developments in direct cooperation with our customer.
